This activity is an effort made by PGNCOM to foster environmental awareness through joint tree planting, adoption and distribution of 1,000 Tree Seedlings on Friday, October 27, 2023 located in the PGN Head Office Area.
This activity was attended by all Gas Subholding Officers, and was preceded by a Ceremonial Tree Seedling Planting conducted by the PGNCOM Board of Commissioners and Directors.
PGNCOM in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, in this case the Directorate of Forest Plant Seedlings, succeeded in inviting Subholding Gas Officers to adopt 1,000 Tree Seedlings with fruit tree species such as Durian, Guava, and Soursop as well as shade tree species such as Tabebuya and Ketapang Kencana.
In his speech, PGNCOM's CEO Mr. Larassetyo said, "This activity is an implementation of PGNCOM's responsibility in the environmental field that supports the Net Zero Emission (NZE) target to adjust to the needs and expectations of stakeholders. We agree that the current condition of our environment, especially DKI Jakarta, is faced with the fact that air pollution is quite high. For this reason, PGNCOM initiated the right program in an effort to reduce carbon emissions by adopting and distributing tree seedlings. We hope that the initiation of the tree adoption program will foster interest and encourage the spirit of protecting the environment to keep it shady, reduce pollution levels, create a green environment, and foster PGN Group employees' concern for the environment."
